FRONTIERS IN MATERIALS CHARACTERIZATION

Welcome!

Welcome to the Bucsek Research Group. Our research combines cutting-edge in-situ X-ray diffraction microscopy techniques with micromechanical theory to study microscale deformation and microstructure evolution in structural and functional materials. This includes collaborations across many scientific fields including: mechanical behavior; micromechanical modeling; in-situ/operando characterization; 3D X-ray imaging/diffraction; functional materials; lightweight metals; advanced manufacturing; shape memory alloys; phase transformations; recrystallization; grain growth.
